This webinar, with guest speakers Melissa Martin, Chief of Staff, ThinkCerca and Italy Wallace, Instructional Coach, District 187, focuses on actionable equity-based strategies, resources, and ideas that educators and leaders can use to reach and support every student.

Speakers
As the Chief of Staff at ThinkCERCA, a Chicago-based EdTech company, Melissa Martin empowers school leaders with strategies and thought leadership to implement a personalized literacy program. A former high school STEM teacher, Melissa’s passion for improving equitable access to high-quality instruction is unparalleled. Melissa is an established leader in organizational development, courageous DEI execution, and motivates others through her collaborative and compassionate approach. Melissa also currently serves as a founding board advisor for the Greater Good Studio in Chicago - a strategic design firm focused on advancing equity. Melissa is a Posse Foundation alum with the founding cohort at Denison University where she earned her B.A. in Biology and her M.S. in Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University.

Italy Wallace is a District Instructional Coach and Tech Lead for North Chicago School District 187. Before this role, she spent nine years in the classroom, serving students of varying backgrounds and demographics in grades 3-5. Ms. Wallace received her Master's Degree in School Leadership from A graduate of Concordia University Chicago. Her undergraduate degree is from The University of St. Francis, where she attained her Elementary Degree with endorsements in Reading Language Arts and Social Sciences.
