• Our Amazon Wishlist is a fast and effective way to purchase food online and have it delivered directly to the pantry. The wish list is continuously updated to reflect our current needs.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
with the Thrive Center and food pantry!

The time is now to help our neighbors. The THRIVE center (located on the 5th floor of the 18 S Michigan building) is looking for motivated Eagles to put their kindness and creativity into practice by volunteering at the food pantry. Your help will ensure a great shopping experience for all students.

No previous volunteer or work experience necessary!

Regular help:

Want to assist us with some of our day-to-day duties? We have two ways you can help:

We need volunteers on Mondays and Tuesdays between 11:30am-2pm. Your duties would include:

• restocking our pantry and snack bins with product from backstock, as well as sanitation tasks; and 
• fliers posting/takedown.

We also need volunteers biweekly on Wednesdays between 11:30am-2pm. This shift involves:

• Unloading our biweekly orders from the Greater Chicago Food Depository when they arrive
• Placing and organizing the new grocery items onto the shelves and into the refrigerators.

Seasonal help:

The THRIVE center is also hosting two seasonal drives this year:

For our Thanksgiving drive, taking place the week before Thanksgiving, we need 
volunteers to assist with the check-in process, personal shopping, retrieving orders, and refilling tables with Thanksgiving groceries.

Who doesn’t like helping out during the holidays? Our annual Holiday drive sees the THRIVE center buying holiday gifts that users put on a registry for their family members. We need volunteers two weeks before Christmas to pass out and organize these gifts for their recipients.
