Biography:

Zoe is from Chicago and has been working in the Information Technology industry, mainly in the Banking sector, since 1994. One of her biggest passions is teaching!  She has taught Mathematics and Computer Science courses both at the undergraduate and graduate level and has done curriculum development and live teaching via the internet since 2002 for several online universities. She has received an outstanding faculty award for her online teaching in the area of structured and clear instruction. Working adults are her favorite students, as they are usually highly motivated, smart and well organized.  She loves the flexibility of the online medium plus communicating with so many different people around the world. 

Her hobbies include painting, playing the piano and reading.  She enjoys historical books, is sensitized with respect to environmental issues, pollution, the quality of nutrition and participates in volunteer work for her local community.

M.S. – Computer Engineering (Computer Graphics, Animation and Virtual Reality) – University of Illinois, Chicago (College of Engineering Fellow)

B.S.  – Computer Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) – University of Illinois, Chicago (Graduated with the highest GPA in the College of Engineering) 

Research and Interests:

Online Learning: Her teaching philosophy is simple “all students can learn if they view it as an enjoyable task”.
